Federal Government Shutdown Resources for Federal Employees
During this time of uncertainty, the District of Columbia Baptist Convention is committed to serving and supporting our federal workers and their families. We recognize the challenges that a government shutdown can bring and want to ensure that no one faces these hardships alone.
Below you will find a list of local and regional resources available to assist furloughed and unpaid federal employees. These resources include access to food pantries, community meal programs and financial assistance.
We encourage you to share this information with anyone who may benefit from it and to reach out if your church offers additional support that should be added to this list. Together, as a community of faith, we stand in solidarity and prayer for all those affected.
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” – Psalm 46:1
