Clifton Park Baptist Church is seeking a
Part-Time Minister of Music 10-15 hours per week. The Minister of
Music is under the direction of the Pastor and is to work with the Music and
Arts Committee. S/he is to lead the church in a comprehensive and inspiring
program of music that seeks to bring Glory to God. S/he leads worship and
ministers to the entire congregation, taking into consideration the diverse
needs and tastes of the various ages, races, and cultures within our church
body.
Responsibilities: This position includes leading our church family in worship
during all our Sunday services (and other ‘special’ services), as well as
training and developing those within our body who possess a calling and gifting
to lead in worship. Developing vocalists and instrumentalists to assist in
worship will also be necessary. This position also includes directing and
overseeing the choir ministry (praise team, adult and children’s choirs and
special music) including rehearsals and providing outreach opportunities. The
Minister of music is also responsible for playing the organ/piano for all
worship services.
Qualifications: Spiritual maturity and commitment to a Christian lifestyle;
Ability to Shepherd and Train those in the music ministry. Must possess
Organizational, Administrative, and Leadership skills; Must be Dependable,
Responsible, Self-motivated and Creative; Trained musician – must be able to
play organ / piano.
Education and/or Experience: Background in College level musical studies; or at
least one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
Other Skills and Abilities: Exhibit a passion for God and a Christ-like spirit
evidenced in personal life, family relationships and ministry.
